The Zeller Family Ancestry

Introduction

Cliquer ici pour un sommaire en français

The Zeller family genealogy spans at least 13 generations starting with Jean-Pierre Zeller born circa 1660, living in Giromagny (Franche-Comté) through Joseph Zeller who created the textile manufacturing industry in 1819 in Oberbruck (Alsace, in the Doller Valley) to the present generations.

Henry Ehret is the historian of the Doller valley and his webpage is very rich in information pertaining to the local Zeller industries.

The VPF2.fr web page traces all descendants of my great-great-great-grandfather. Itʼs a very comprehensive website that contains an interactive database, documents, 4 family trees, events and more. There are other families that appear in the Zeller family genealogy so frequently that information on these lines will help many find their own roots. The early Zellers of Oberbruck  are married into the Madelin, Bonnet and Coze lines numerous time.

Our very dedicated webmaster is Jean-François Haas  (jfhaas@jfhaas.com) .
